Two Accused in Dacoity, Rape and Murder Case Get Life Term
Another accused, Gujjala Ramakrishna alias RK of Rajamahendravaram, residing in Hyderabad, got a five-year jail term.
Kakinada: Eluru District and Sessions Judge G. Rajeswari sentenced to life two accused – Bokka Raju alias Dhanush (28) of Amalapuram in Konaseema district and Mesala Mavullu (45) of Palakollu in West Godavari district.
Another accused, Gujjala Ramakrishna alias RK of Rajamahendravaram, residing in Hyderabad, got a five-year jail term.
According to West Godavari district superintendent of police Adnan Nayeem Asmi, accused Raja and Mavullu broke into the house of a 75-year-old woman on July 29, 2024 afternoon, snatched away her gold ornaments. Later, Raja raped and murdered her before fleeing from the spot.
Palakollu police registered a case and completed the inquiry within 75 days. The judgement got delivered in 252 days.
The third accused Ramakrishna got a five-year jail term as he bought the ornaments.
SP Asmi congratulated officials for ensuring a stringent punishment to the accused.
