TTD to Launch Pustaka Prasadam to Spread Sanatana Dharma

Distribution will also take place within the compartments of the Vaikuntham Queue Complex in Tirumala, giving devotees waiting for darshan access to the books.

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is set to introduce a new initiative titled Pustaka Prasadam, aimed at promoting awareness of Sanatana Dharma and curbing religious conversions, according to official sources.

The initiative is being spearheaded by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) under the direction of TTD chairman B.R. Naidu. As part of the programme, TTD will distribute religious and spiritual books free of cost, particularly in Dalit settlements, remote tribal areas, and agency regions.

Books to be distributed include Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavam, Vishnu Sahasranamam, Venkateswara Suprabhatam, Bhaja Govindam, Lalita Sahasranamam, Shiva Stotram, Bhagavad Gita, and biographies of revered spiritual leaders. The first batch of these publications was formally presented to the TTD chairman at the Tirumala Camp Office by HDPP officials on Monday.

Distribution will also take place within the compartments of the Vaikuntham Queue Complex in Tirumala, giving devotees waiting for darshan access to the books.

Sources added that several donors have come forward to bear the printing expenses, ensuring that TTD funds are not used for this initiative. The programme will commence in the Telugu-speaking states and is expected to expand nationwide, with translations into multiple languages.

Naidu has instructed officials to implement the scheme in a phased manner to preserve the sanctity of Hindu traditions and prevent religious conversions through spiritual education.
