TTD To Allot 2-Acre Land for Epigraphy Museum at Tirupati
TTD joint executive officer Dr A. Sharath informed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) director (epigraphy) about the decision on Wednesday.

Vijayawada: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has agreed in principle to allot two acres of land in Tirupati to the Union ministry of culture for establishing a National Museum of Epigraphy.
TTD joint executive officer Dr A. Sharath informed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) director (epigraphy) about the decision on Wednesday.
ASI director (epigraphy) K. Munirathnam Reddy said the museum would showcase India’s rich historical and cultural heritage through its inscriptional legacy. He noted that the proposed institution would serve as a major research centre for scholars, researchers, students and the general public.
The museum is expected to preserve and promote the country’s epigraphical wealth while enhancing Tirupati’s importance as a centre for cultural and historical studies.
