TTD Shifts Offline Srivani Darshan Ticketing to Online Mode
Offline counters to close as 800 daily tickets move to online current booking system

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams would shift the issue of SRIVANI trust-linked darshan tickets in Tirumala to online mode from January 9, discontinuing the offline counters in the hill town.
The new system would be implemented on an experimental basis for one month, keeping in view devotees’ convenience and administrative requirements.
So far, SRIVANI darshan tickets were being issued through offline counters in Tirumala as part of the current booking system. Under the new arrangement, the 800 tickets that were earlier issued offline every day will be made available through online current booking.
These tickets will be released daily at 9am and the counters would remain open for booking till 2pm. Devotees who secure the tickets would have to report for darshan at 4pm the same day.
TTD said in a statement on Tuesday that each booking is meant for one family, with a maximum of four members. Aadhaar verification and a registered mobile number are mandatory to prevent misuse.
Tickets would be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. The move is expected to ease congestion and eliminate the need for devotees to wait in long queues at Tirumala for offline SRIVANI tickets.
The trust clarified that the existing online advance booking system for SRIVANI tickets would continue without change.
As per the existing practice, 500 tickets are being released every day under the advance booking category. The functioning of both the online current booking and advance booking systems would be reviewed after three months before a review on their continuation.
The offline current booking facility at Tirupati airport would also continue as before. Under this arrangement, 200 SRIVANI tickets are issued daily to devotees landing there.
TTD has appealed to devotees to take note of the revised ticketing system and plan their darshan schedules accordingly.
