TTD Urges Public Not To Share Unverified Clips On Laddu Prasadam

Devotees are requested not to share or believe such videos and to report any suspicious matters immediately to TTD authorities.

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board governing the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple on Monday has cautioned devotees not to accept or share unverified clips that create unnecessary alarm. The appeal concerned a viral video alleging the presence of a thread in the laddu prasadam, which circulated recently.

TTD said it has come to its attention that a video is circulating on social media claiming a thread was found in the laddu prasadam. Urging devotees not to fall for such claims, TTD appealed to the public not to accept or share unverified clips that create unnecessary alarm.

Clarifying on the preparation process, TTD said laddu prasadam is prepared daily under the supervision of Sri Vaishnava Brahmins, following strict hygiene and purity standards. It added that raw ingredients are checked regularly using AI-based ingredient-sorting machines and are subject to rigorous quality controls, making contamination extremely unlikely. All prasadam preparation is continuously monitored, it said.

TTD strongly condemned attempts to damage its reputation by spreading such reports. Devotees are requested not to share or believe such videos and to report any suspicious matters immediately to TTD authorities.
