TTD Inaugurates Tirumala Heritage Exhibitions

‘Naadu-Nedu’ photo display highlights hill shrine’s transformation

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman Bollineni Rajagopal Naidu on Tuesday inaugurated exhibitions showcasing Tirumala’s history, culture, horticulture and traditional practices at Kalyana Vedika ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams.

The displays feature fruits and flowers, photography, gardens, forests, the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Traditional Sculpture and Architecture, and Ayurveda. Rajagopal Naidu also inaugurated a media centre at Ram Bageecha for journalists covering the nine-day Brahmotsavams.

He said the exhibitions were attracting devotees, with the ‘Naadu-Nedu’ photography display being a special attraction. It features rare photographs depicting Tirumala in the past and present, highlighting its development and changes over the years.

He urged devotees to visit the exhibitions to learn about Tirumala’s history, heritage and development while experiencing the spiritual significance of the hill shrine.Rajagopal Naidu appreciated the garden, forest, Sri Venkateswara Sculpture College and Ayurveda departments for organising the displays.TTD executive officer M. Ravichandra, additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO K.V. Murali Krishna and chief public relations officer Dr T. Ravi were among those present.
