TTD Chief Alleges Major Scam in SV Goshala Under YSRC Regime

The chairman, along with TTD board members, All India Cow Protection Organisation general secretary Koti Sridhar, and media personnel, inspected the SV Goshala on Saturday

Nellore: TTD chairman BR Naidu has alleged a large-scale scam took place in the SV Goshala under the previous administration, claiming that even cattle fodder was not spared. He stated that those with vested interests are now attempting to politicise the issue to divert attention from past misdeeds.

The chairman, along with TTD board members, All India Cow Protection Organisation general secretary Koti Sridhar, and media personnel, inspected the SV Goshala on Saturday. He reviewed facilities such as fodder supply, drinking water, medical care, and hygiene. Expressing satisfaction with the current management, he said no corruption had occurred in the ten months since the coalition government came to power.

Naidu cited 2023–24 records and Koti Sridhar’s observations to underline the scale of irregularities during the previous regime. He said Dr Harinath Reddy, then Goshala director, acted dictatorially, barred entry to others, and treated the facility as his personal estate.

TTD may seek an ACB probe if required, he added. Board member G. Bhanu Prakash Reddy stated that a police case had been filed against former TTD chairman B. Karunakar Reddy for spreading false claims about cattle deaths, and affirmed that evidence was available to support the charges.

Koti Sridhar alleged irregularities in medicine and fodder procurement, cow purchases from other states, and a lack of records on post-birth tracking of cattle.

Board members Shantha Ram and Naresh Kumar were also present during the inspection.
