TTD Celebrates I-Day
The chairman detailed plans for temple development across states and Union Territories, constructions in Dalit, tribal and fishermen communities, and strengthening of Srivari Seva.

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams celebrated the 79th Independence Day at the Parade Grounds of the TTD administrative building here on Friday.
TTD Chairman BR Naidu, executive officer Syamala Rao and additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary participated in the programme.
Chairman Naidu hoisted the flag and received a guard of honour from the TTD Vigilance and Security staff.
Extending greetings to employees, he announced that TTD would intensify Sanatana Dharma propagation with public participation.
He outlined several initiatives, including use of AI technology for faster darshan, improvements in annaprasadam quality and distribution, upgraded facilities for SRIVANI ticket holders, development of Kalyanakatta, and environmental measures to increase Tirumala’s green cover by 110 per cent.
The chairman also detailed plans for temple development across states and Union Territories, constructions in Dalit, tribal and fishermen communities, and strengthening of Srivari Seva.
EO Rao lauded officials and staff for facilitating comfortable darshan for devotees coming from across the country and abroad. He highlighted operational measures such as new ticketing centres, special annaprasadam counters in crowded areas, regular quality checks on food and raw materials, and phased development of TTD’s subsidiary temples and sacred sites.
He said TTD is focusing on educational quality, expanding hostel facilities for students, regularising certain contract staff and implementing disciplinary action in line with board policy. He also noted the introduction of training for group supervisors and engagement of professional and NRI volunteers.
Additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary hoisted the flag at the Gokulam rest house in Tirumala. He urged employees to work with dedication, inspired by the freedom fighters’ ideals.
As part of the celebrations, 41 officers, 278 employees, and seven SVBC staff members were presented with five-gram silver Srivari dollars and commendation certificates for their exemplary service.
