15 Eelectric Buses Donated by Anant Ambani Reaches Tirumala
According to reports, the donation includes 25 electric buses, 50 drivers and charging stations.
Tirumala: Fifteen electric buses donated by Anant Ambani have reached Tirumala on Sunday morning.
Anant Ambani had visited the Tirumala shrine in June and the Reliance Industries announced that they will donate electric buses and other facilities worth Rs 27.5 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
According to reports, the donation includes 25 electric buses, 50 drivers and charging stations. The electric buses are aimed at providing convenient transportation for devotees visiting Tirumala.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to inaugurate the electric buses on September 16.
Another seven electric buses donated by Bharat Biotech are also expected to reach Tirumala. Once all the buses are put into service, devotees are expected to have greater access to public transport, reducing their dependence on private vehicles.
