Traffic diversions for Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing in

Vijayawada: Krishna district police have imposed traffic restrictions on Wednesday, June 12, in view of the swearing in of N. Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. at Kesarapalli IT Towers in Gannavaram area of Vijayawada.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi, chief ministers and governors of neighbouring states, apart from union ministers are expected to take part in the swearing-in ceremony.

According to a press release issued by district superintendent of police Adnan Nayeem Asmi, vehicles travelling towards Chennai from Visakhapatnam will be diverted via Kathipudi and National Highway 216 to Ongole. Similarly, vehicles from Chennai towards Visakhapatnam will be diverted from Ongole, Repalle via Machilipatnam. Losari bridge, Narasapuram, Amalapuram, Kakinada and Kathipudi.

Vehicles en route to Visakhapatnam from Chennai will also be diverted Budampadu, Tenali via Puligadda, Machilipatnam, Losari bridge, Narsapuram, Kakinada, and Kathipudi.
Vehicles from Visakhapatnam toward Hyderabad will be diverted through five alternate routes. They are from Gamana bridge via Devarapalli, Jangareddygudem, Aswaraopet and Khammam; via Bhimadole, Dwaraka Tirumala, Kamavarapukota, Chinthalapaudi and Khammam; via Eluru bypass, Jangareddygudem, Aswaraopet, and Khammam; via Eluru bypass, Chinthalapudi and Sathupalli; and via Hanuman Junction, Nuzvid, Mylavaram, Ibrahimpatnam and Nandigama.
Vehicles from Hyderabad towards Visakhapatnam will be diverted through four alternate routes. They are from Nandigama via Madhira, Vaira, Sathupalli, Aswaraopet, Jangareddygudem, Devarapalli and Gamana bridge; from Ibrahimpatnam via Mylavaram, Nuzvid, Hanuman Junction and Eluru bypass; from Ramavarapadu via Nunna, Pamula Kaluva, Velagaleru, G. Konduru, Mylavaram, Hanuman Junction and Eluru bypass; and from Vijayawada via Enikepadu 100-feet road, Tadigadapa, Pamarru, Gudivada and Bhimavaram.
The SP has appealed to commuters to coordinate with police and utilise the alternate routes arranged for reaching their destinations on June 12.
