Top RSS Brass Led by Bhagwat To Meet in Vizag From August 16

Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and his top associates in the organisation will assemble in Visakhapatnam for five days from August 16 for their annual Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak – All India Coordination Meeting – at Gudilova School in Anandapuram, about 28 km from Visakhapatnam.

The five-day meet will bring together selected office-bearers of the RSS frontal organisations, including their Akhil Bharatiya presidents, general secretaries, Sanghathan Mantris and other senior functionaries.

The meeting is expected to deliberate on Gen Z issues and youth outreach, against the backdrop of the recent youth protests and Bhagwat’s outreach to Gen Z.

Several issues pertaining to the present social situation are expected to come up for discussion, including population imbalance, Nasha Mukti or de-addiction, creating awareness among youth, implementation of Panch Parivartan and the Bharatiya concept of development.

Former Visakhapatnam BJP president and an active RSS member from north Andhra Rabindra Reddy said the meeting would also focus on strengthening mutual coordination and cooperation among the organisations and improving dialogue on matters concerning public welfare and policy.

The meeting is significant because it coincides with the RSS centenary year.

Apart from Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale, all Sahsarkaryawahs and Akhil Bharatiya Karyavibhag Pramukhs will be present at the meeting. Around 300 delegates representing 34 organisations will attend the meeting

“Mohan Bhagwat is covered under Z Plus security. We are making all security arrangements on the outer layer of the school,” said Anandapuram police station inspector M.V. Yerran Naidu.

A senior RSS member said the RSS chief will leave the city on August 22.

Mohan Bhagwat had earlier visited Visakhapatnam in 2012 and 2016.
