Tirupati Postal Division To Host TIRUPEX-2026 On Sept. 2, 3
Tirupati postal division will host TIRUPEX-2026 on September 2 and 3, showcasing rare stamp collections and India’s postal heritage.
The Tirupati postal division will organise TIRUPEX-2026, a district-level philately exhibition, at a function hall in Gollavanigunta on September 2 and 3.
Senior superintendent of post offices, Tirupati division, Major Syeda Tanveer (Rtd) said the two-day exhibition would provide philatelists an opportunity to view rare and historically significant stamp collections and learn about India’s postal heritage.
Major Syeda Tanveer (Rtd) said philately was not merely a hobby but a window into the history, culture and heritage of India. Stamps provide glimpses into important personalities, historical milestones, cultural traditions and significant national events, she said.
The superintendent said special focus had been placed on encouraging school students and youth to take an interest in philately. A stamp design competition for students will be held at 11 am on September 3, with prizes scheduled to be presented at 4 pm.
The postal division appealed to schools, students, teachers and other interested participants to make use of the opportunity and participate in TIRUPEX-2026.
