Tirupati: A 60-year-old woman died after falling from a moving motorcycle when a pack of stray dogs chased and blocked the vehicle in the early hours of the morning. The tragic incident occurred at Eetamapuram village in Penagaluru mandal of Tirupati district.
According to Sub-Inspector Arun Kumar Reddy, the victim, Chapala Pramilamma alias Arunamma, a resident of Gudlavaripalle, was riding pillion on a motorcycle with her younger son Ramesh around 4:30 AM. As they approached the area near the Ramalayam temple, a pack of stray dogs suddenly ran and chased them, causing the rider to lose control. Pramilamma fell off the bike and suffered severe head injuries in the fall. She was rushed to Rajampet Government Hospital in a 108 ambulance, but succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim's elder son, Nagarjuna, police have registered a case.
