Tirumala Workers’ Antecedents Verified Ahead Of Brahmotsavams
Tirupati police are verifying the antecedents of Tirumala workers ahead of Srivari Brahmotsavams-2026 to strengthen security and prevent untoward incidents
Tirupati district police have started verifying the antecedents of workers employed at various establishments in Tirumala, prioritising the security of devotees ahead of the Srivari Brahmotsavams-2026.
The exercise is being carried out on the directions of district SP L. Subba Rayudu in coordination with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Vigilance and Security Department. Police are checking the details of workers employed at shops, hotels, restaurants, mutts, guesthouses and other commercial establishments.
The verification covers both existing and newly recruited workers. Police are checking whether establishments have registered the details of workers who recently joined and are also examining the records of those already employed there.
Workers engaged in electrical and flower decoration, temporary sanitation and gardening, road and building works and other services are also being covered. Their personal and identification details are being checked against police records to ascertain whether they have any previous criminal cases.
“Security of devotees is our priority during the Brahmotsavams. As part of preventive measures, we are verifying the antecedents of workers employed in Tirumala establishments and checking the details of both old and new workers,” Mr. Subba Rayudu said. The SP asked the managements of all establishments to maintain complete records of their workers and provide the required details to the police for verification.
“With a large number of devotees expected to visit Tirumala during the festival, establishments should ensure that the details of every worker are properly recorded and verified. We seek the cooperation of all managements in completing this process on time,” he said.
Police said the verification was aimed at identifying potential security concerns in advance and preventing untoward incidents during the Brahmotsavams. They also appealed to people to dial 112 if they noticed any suspicious person or activity in Tirumala. Subba Rayudu said the identity of those providing information would be kept confidential.
