Thunderstorms forecast for Andhra Pradesh
Visakhapatnam: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Amaravati has predicted thunderstorms across several parts of AP from Saturday to Tuesday, along with strong surface winds.
According to the report, thunderstorms with lightning are expected at isolated places over north and south coastal AP, Yanam and Rayalaseema on Saturday. Strong surface winds, reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph, are also likely in these areas.
Similar conditions are expected over north and south coastal AP and Yanam on Sunday, with thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong surface winds of 30-40 kmph.
This weather pattern is expected to continue on August 5 and 6. The IMD report noted the presence of lower tropospheric westerly winds over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
