VIJAYAWADA: Three persons, including a man and two women of the same family, were electrocuted to death at a house located near Benz Circle on Saturday morning.
According to Patamata police, Saladi Mutyavaii, 54, was trying to collect the clothes dried on a GE cable drawn connecting the cable wire and the electric wire covered with a PVC pipe as they were soaked in the rain that occurred last night. As she suffered the electric shock, she started screaming for help, and her elder brother, Saladi Prasad, 61, came to her rescue, and he too suffered the electric shock.
As both of them were screaming a loud for help, Prasad’s second wife, Utukuri Radha, 43, who tried to come to their help, also suffered the electric shock. All three died on the spot.
Police booked a case, and an investigation is on.
