Three Injured as Private Bus Overturns Near Nandyal

Anantapur: At least three passengers were seriously injured when a private travel bus overturned on the national highway near Chabolu, on the outskirts of Nandyal district headquarters in the early hours of Friday.
According to sources, the bus, which was travelling from Nellore to Kurnool via Nandyal, lost control when the driver attempted to avoid a stone on the highway, causing the vehicle to overturn. Six passengers were on board at the time of the accident.
Local residents at the spot shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Traffic on the highway was disrupted for some time, with vehicles lining up in long queues. Police reached the scene and regulated traffic.
Traffic inspector Chand Bhasha said a case has been registered and an investigation is under way.
