Three Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Tirupati and Chittoor Districts

In the first incident, two youths were killed when their motorcycle rammed into a roadside tree near Krishnapuram village in Nagalapuram mandal of Tirupati district.

Tirupati: Three persons lost their lives in two separate road accidents reported from Tirupati and Chittoor districts on Monday, police said.

In the first incident, two youths were killed when their motorcycle rammed into a roadside tree near Krishnapuram village in Nagalapuram mandal of Tirupati district. The deceased were identified as Nagaraju (23), a resident of Nindra SC Colony, and Sanjay (23) from Ramagiri village in Pichatur mandal. Both were employed in a private company at Puduvai in Tamil Nadu.

According to the police, the duo had attended a wedding at Nagalapuram on Sunday night and were returning home after midnight on a two-wheeler. Due to overspeeding, the rider reportedly lost control of the motorcycle near Krishnapuram, causing it to crash into a tree along the road. Both youths sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. Their bodies were shifted to the government hospital at Satyavedu for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way, police said.

In another accident, a 30-year-old man was killed on the national highway near the welfare boys’ hostel at Karvetinagaram. The deceased, Shankar Reddy, a resident of Kasa Thota Street, was travelling from Puttur to his native place on a motorcycle when a van coming from the opposite direction collided with his vehicle. He died on the spot due to severe injuries. Karvetinagaram police have registered a case and taken up the investigation.
