Three Killed in Road Accident Near Uravakonda

Kurnool:Three persons were killed on the spot when an unidentified vehicle rammed a motorcycle they were travelling near Uravakonda town in Anantapur district on Thursday night.

The deceased were Kanekal Zainulla, S Mahaboob Basha and S Mohammed Rafee, all residents of Vajrakarur in Anantapur district, police said.

The three had been to Uravakonda for court work and were returning to Vajrakarur. An unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle, causing the three to suffer severe injuries. They died on the spot. The sight of the bodies lying scattered on the road shocked local residents and passers-by.

The Uravakonda police conducted a preliminary inquiry. A case has been registered and efforts were on to trace the unidentified vehicle and its driver. The bodies were shifted to the government hospital in Anantapur for postmortem.
