Hyderabad: Three individuals tragically drowned in Komatigunta lake, located in the Bheemadolu mandal of Eluru district, on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Ajay, 28, Abhilash, 16, and Sagar, 16, all residents of Vegivada village in the Pedavegi mandal.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred when a group of four people were returning from an event in Pedalingampadu. They stopped near Komatigunta lake. While attending to nature's call, three of them accidentally fell into the water and drowned.
The fourth person, whose identity has not yet been released, reportedly survived the incident. Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic loss of life.
