Three-Cornered Contest In Adoni As Alliance Fails To Reach Consensus

Kurnool:The ruling alliance failed to reach a consensus on seat-sharing for the Adoni municipal elections, setting the stage for a contest among the Telugu Desam (TD), YSRC and Jana Sena (JS).

A niece of former MLA Meenakshi Naidu filed her nomination as a TD candidate, while another candidate entered the fray on behalf of the Jana Sena. Neither candidate withdrew during Wednesday’s withdrawal process, leaving the alliance partners to contest against each other.

BJP MLA Dr Parthasarathi has announced his support for the Jana Sena candidate, adding another dimension to the contest.

With the alliance partners failing to reach an agreement, the TD, YSRC and Jana Sena are set to compete for control of the Adoni municipality.
