Three Arrested, Rs 5.6 Lakh Recovered in ATM Card Fraud
During interrogation the gang admitted to running an elaborate ATM fraud operation in which they exchanged victims' cards to withdraw cash.

Visakhapatnam: Srikakulam district police have arrested a three-member gang involved in ATM card fraud, recovering stolen property worth Rs 5.60 lakh and linking the accused to 21 cases across the district and neighbouring Odisha.
The arrests were made when the suspects attempted to flee from a routine vehicle check at the RTC Complex in Sompeta.
During interrogation the gang admitted to running an elaborate ATM fraud operation in which they exchanged victims' cards to withdraw cash.
The group targeted various ATM locations, including two ATMs in the Sompeta Police Station limits and another located across from Ramakrishna Hospital.
Their strategy involved swapping the ATM cards of unsuspecting customers and then withdrawing funds from their accounts.
The suspect acknowledged committing offences across multiple police jurisdictions in the Srikakulam district.
The gang also confessed to engaging in similar illegal activities in Odisha, with total fraudulent withdrawals reaching around Rs 17.21 lakh.
