‘The Myths Didn’t Survive’: African Rapper’s Andhra Visit Wins Praise from Nara Lokesh

A firsthand rap account of life in Andhra Pradesh goes viral, prompting AP Minister Nara Lokesh to welcome the message and call out online misinformation.

A video shared by a social media user named Incognito has gone viral after it featured a man praising India and Andhra Pradesh through a rap song, countering what he described as false narratives about the country on social media.

In the video, the rapper reflects on arriving in India with doubts shaped by online content, only to find warmth, friendship, and cultural richness on the ground. His lyrics touch upon Indian food, chai, street life, and the hospitality he experienced, while calling out misinformation and stereotypes spread on social media platforms.
Reacting to the viral post, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh wrote, “He came. He saw. Andhra delivered. The myths didn’t survive. Ek do teen chaar - India delivered by the hour!”
