Tension In Tadipathri As Ex-MLA Stopped At Border
Prabhakar Reddy went ahead with their programme of installing a Lord Shiva statue at the Erraguntlapalli flyover.

Anantapur:Tadipathri witnessed tension again on Monday when former MLA K. Pedda Reddy tried to enter the town after obtaining High Court orders, while Telugu Desam cadres led by municipal chairman J.C. Prabhakar Reddy went ahead with their programme of installing a Lord Shiva statue at the Erraguntlapalli flyover.
Pedda Reddy had approached the High Court after police earlier prevented him from entering his own house in Tadipathri. The court directed Anantapur police to provide him security. On Monday, as he travelled from his residence in Thimmapalli village of Yellanur mandal, police stopped him at Nagireddypalli on the Tadipathri border.
Meanwhile, J.C. Prabhakar Reddy, ignoring police instructions, went ahead with the statue installation on the auspicious occasion of Shravana Somavaram. He said locals opposed Pedda Reddy due to his alleged extortions and threats, and clarified that while he was not against his entry, it required public approval.
Pedda Reddy staged a protest for over six hours, even having lunch on the roadside while seated on a chair. In view of the tense situation, Anantapur police deployed about 750 personnel in and around Tadipathri.
