At Giddalur, TD leaders allegedly prevented candidates from filing nominations at the MPDO office and entered the nomination centre to tear nomination papers. Markapuram YSRC in-charge and former MLA Anna Rambabu staged a sit-in on the road, demanding that officials ensure candidates could file nominations without obstruction. In Ponnaluru, clashes broke out between TD and YSRC workers after TD leaders allegedly obstructed former minister and YSRC Kondapi constituency in-charge Adimulapu Suresh, who had accompanied candidates to file nominations. Suresh accused the police of acting in a partisan manner and urged officials to allow the candidates to submit their papers.

Police intervened to disperse the protesters. A lathi-charge was reportedly carried out after YSRC workers staged a road blockade.

District superintendent of police Harshavardhan Raju visited Ponnaluru following the incident and took note of the situation.
