Tension in Antarvedi Kara Village Over Ranga Statue

Kakinada:Tension prevailed at Antarvedi Kara village in Sakhinetipalli mandal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district on Thursday over the issue of installing a statue of Vangaveeti Ranga statue.

Members of one community had been planning to install the statue at the village. This led to another community lodging a complaint with the Sakhinetipalli police, opposing the statue.

When one group tried to install Ranga’s statue, the statue got damaged in the melee raised by the other group.

Meanwhile, Amalapuram RDO. Madhavi, Kothapeta DSP Sunkara Murali Mohan and Razole MLA Deva Vara Prasad reached there and held discussions with the two groups of communities. This led to an understanding between the groups and the matter got pacified.
