Technology Hub at Bommuru Polytechnic College

East Godavari to get tech boost; T-Hub to start in 3,000 sq ft, expand soon

Kakinada: East Godavari district collector P. Prashanthi said a Technology Hub (T-Hub) will be set up over a 3,000-square-feet space at the polytechnic college campus in Bommuru within the Rajamahendravaram Rural mandal.

Holding a video conference with officials, the collector observed that the polytechnic college is most suitable place for setting up the T-Hub. She said that infrastructure facilities will soon be created for the same.

Prashanthi said that in the first phase, T-hub will be started over a 3,000 square feet area, which will be extended up to 7,000 sq. ft. within 100 days. She said the Joint Collector will be a board member of the T-Hub.

Those who participated in the conference included Rajamahendravaram municipal commissioner Ketan Garg, District Industries Centre officer Srivanidhar Pradeep, MEPMA in-charge project director Sridevi, and District Skill Development officer V.G.D. Murali.

Reviewing the working of various departments with officials, the collector asked education officials to reenrol all students who have dropped out from schools by convincing both the children and their parents. She asked officials to particularly pay attention to children, who have lost their parents during the Covid-19 pandemic, and admit them into the government-run hostels.

Prashanthi directed officials to provide ration cards, caste certificates, Aarogyasri, Ayushman and Aadhaar cards to 399 people belonging to the Chenchu community in the district.
