Technical Glitch Delays Air India Flight Landing in Vijayawada by Four Hours
Passengers faced long wait before flight reached Vijayawada safely
Vijayawada: A scheduled Air India flight carrying nearly 160 passengers was delayed by four hours to land at Vijayawada International Airport from Delhi due to technical glitch on Monday.
According to Vijayawada airport authorities, the flight was supposed to take off in Delhi airport at 9.30 am and reach Vijayawada airport at 11.30 am. However, it reached at 3.30 pm.
Sources say that the aircraft suffered some technical issue when it was about to take off in Delhi airport. It was stopped from taking off and was stranded for several hours causing hardships to the passengers. However, after the technical snag was rectified, the aircraft was allowed to take off at the Delhi airport and reached Vijayawada airport.
Andhra Pradesh High Court judge Justice Battu Devanand was reportedly travelling in the same flight from Delhi to Vijayawada.
