CPM leaders protest in Yemmiganur
Kurnool
CPM leaders staged a protest in Yemmiganur on Tuesday, demanding the speedy completion of pending irrigation projects. Many irrigation projects in the western parts of the district remain incomplete, and the protesters urged the coalition government to prioritise them.
AIKMS district general secretary Satyanna said that Kurnool is one of the most backward districts in the Rayalaseema region, forcing people to migrate to other places due to a lack of employment opportunities. He criticised the government for making promises about water supply through pending projects but failing to act after coming to power. He warned that if the government keeps ignoring the projects, people will lose trust in it. Local leaders participated in the protest.
