TD’s Door-to-Door Campaign Gets Strong Public Response, Says Lokesh

He asked party leaders to ensure that the messages of the government's development and welfare achievements reached every household

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam national working president and education minister Nara Lokesh on Sunday said the “enthusiastic” public response to the party's statewide Intintiki TDP campaign reflected the people's confidence in the government's governance and welfare initiatives.

Leaders of the three alliance parties visited 3,01,197 households on the seventh day alone, taking the cumulative number of homes covered in the first seven days to 17,61,197 across AP, he said.

Reviewing the programme's progress through technology-driven monitoring, Lokesh said the campaign was being closely tracked constituency-wise to ensure its effective implementation. He urged party leaders and cadre to continue reaching every household and explain the government's achievements, including its development works and welfare schemes.

The Telugu Desam's flagship outreach programme completed a week on Sunday, drawing large-scale participation across the state despite it being a holiday.

Ministers, MLAs, constituency in-charges, public representatives, party leaders and workers visited houses to interact with residents and highlight the government's initiatives.

During the campaign, party leaders explained the government's initiatives for farmers' welfare, women empowerment, employment opportunities for youth, infrastructure development, transparent governance and the benefits extended to people through various welfare schemes.

Earlier in the day, TD state president and MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao conducted a teleconference with district presidents, parliamentary presidents, constituency in-charges and senior leaders to review the campaign's progress. He asked party leaders to ensure that the messages of the government's development and welfare achievements reached every household.

Lokesh said new technology was being effectively used to monitor the campaign in real time and improve its execution, while encouraging party workers to maintain the same spirit and expand the outreach across the state.
