TD Will Support Alla Nani’s Family: Lokesh

He described Nani as a disciplined politician who maintained dignity and decency in public life.

Kakinada: Minister Nara Lokesh said the Telugu Desam would support the family of former minister Alla Kalikrishna Srinivas (Nani).

Lokesh paid tributes to Nani at his residence in Eluru on Thursday and offered his condolences to the bereaved family. He described Nani as a disciplined politician who maintained dignity and decency in public life.

Recalling his interactions with Nani during the YSRC regime, when Lokesh was an MLC and Nani was a minister, he said they had discussed several issues in the Assembly. Nani, he said, never resorted to personal criticism and always maintained a dignified approach.

Lokesh said Nani believed that the opportunity given by people to serve in public life should be used to raise their problems. He said Nani’s services as an MLA, minister and Deputy Chief Minister would remain unforgettable. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Nani worked tirelessly to serve people and address difficulties in his constituency, he said.

Lokesh said Nani later joined the TD and remained committed to the party.

Nani’s last rites were performed with state honours on Thursday. Ministers K. Partha Saradhi and Nimmala Rama Naidu, Eluru MP P. Mahesh Kumar, AP Deputy Speaker and Undi MLA K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, MLAs Badeti Chanti, Chintamaneni Prabhakar, Songa Roshan Kumar and P. Dharma Raju, APSRTC chairman Reddy Appala Naidu, AP Bhavan Nirman and Other Construction Corporation chairman Valavala Babji and others attended the last rites and paid tributes.
