TD Leader’s Wife Named Jana Sena Candidate In Madakasira

Following the rejection, Jana Sena leadership approached Radhakrishna and Sarada to join the party.

Anantapur: G. Sarada, wife of Telugu Desam leader Gundumala Radhakrishna, has been named Jana Sena’s candidate for the municipal chairperson post in Madakasira.

The development comes after the nomination papers of JS Party’s original candidate A. Srinivasulu had been rejected.

Jana Sena leaders Ch. Madhusudhan Reddy and Naveen Nischal issued the B-form to Sarada on Wednesday following negotiations with the party’s leadership.

Sarada and her husband Radhakrishna, TD secretary of Madakasira and brother of party constituency in-charge Gundumala Thippeswamy, joined Jana Sena in the presence of the two leaders.

The municipal chairperson post is reserved for the BC general category.

Sarada is among the candidates who filed nominations on behalf of Jana Sena.

The nomination papers of original JS candidate Srinivasulu, his wife, and two other sets of nominations had been rejected by the returning officer owing to incomplete entries in the forms.

The four sets of papers had reportedly been prepared by a single person from Hindupur.

Following the rejection, Jana Sena leadership approached Radhakrishna and Sarada to join the party.

After they joined the JS Party along with their supporters, the party issued the B-form to Sarada for the chairperson post.

Sarada said she would abide by the Jana Sena leadership’s directions and work for development of the municipality.

Sources said the TD, BJP, and Jana Sena would start their campaign from Thursday.
