TD Hits Back at YSRC Over DSC Allegations

Nellore:Telugu Desam MLC and district president Beeda Ravichandra dismissed the YSRC’s allegations of irregularities in the Mega DSC teacher recruitment, accusing the opposition of attempting to malign the recruitment process for political gain.

In a statement on Monday, Ravichandra said former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had failed to conduct even a single DSC recruitment during his five-year tenure, while the coalition government had fulfilled its promise by recruiting 16,000 teachers through the Mega DSC.

He alleged that the YSRC had filed multiple petitions in courts to stall the recruitment process both before and after the examinations. However, he said the High Court, after examining the government’s submissions and recruitment rules, found no irregularities and dismissed the petitions.

Calling the YSRC’s renewed allegations "baseless", Ravichandra questioned why the party was raising the issue a year after the recruitment process had been completed. He accused the opposition of trying to demoralise successful candidates and create uncertainty among unemployed youth ahead of future DSC notifications.

The TD leader said education minister Nara Lokesh had initiated major education reforms, introduced an annual job calendar and honoured the government's commitment by conducting the Mega DSC. He asserted that another DSC notification would be issued soon and said no amount of "false propaganda or political conspiracies" would derail the recruitment process.
