TD Defends DSC Recruitment, Criticises YSRC Allegations

He said the recruitment process was being conducted in accordance with established procedures and could not be treated arbitrarily.

Kakinada: Telugu Desam leaders on Monday rejected allegations made by the YSRC against the ongoing DSC teacher recruitment process and asserted that the recruitment was being conducted transparently.

The party held a meeting with teachers’ associations in Kakinada to discuss the DSC recruitment drive.

Addressing the meeting, MLC Perabathula Rajasekhar said teacher appointments were secured through merit and years of preparation by candidates. He said the recruitment process was being conducted in accordance with established procedures and could not be treated arbitrarily.

Rajasekhar said teacher and other government recruitment drives would be conducted regularly through DSC examinations. He criticised statements attributed to YSRC leaders regarding the cancellation of appointments after assuming power.

Kakinada MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao accused the YSRC of spreading misinformation about alleged irregularities in the recruitment process. He recalled that the Education Secretary had sought evidence to substantiate the allegations.

The MLA also criticised the previous YSRC government over the implementation of the Nadu-Nedu programme, alleging that teacher vacancies were not adequately addressed. He urged teachers to counter what he described as false propaganda against the recruitment exercise.

Several newly appointed teachers shared their experiences at the meeting and spoke about the efforts they had made to qualify in the DSC examinations.

Headmasters Association state president Ch. Ravi, PRTU district president Ch. Pradeep Kumar, STU district president N. Satyanarayana, Noble Teachers’ Association president V. Suribabu, CPS Association state general secretary M. Ravi Kumar, PETs Association district president D. Srinivas and others attended the meeting.
