NELLORE: The Telugu Desam on Wednesday commenced preparations for its annual conclave ‘Mahanadu’ with a bhoomi puja at IFCO Kisan SEZ in Kodavalur mandal of Nellore district.
The three-day event is scheduled to be held from May 27 to 29.
Ministers Ponguru Narayana and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, MLAs, MLCs and party leaders attended the ceremony.
Party district president and MLC Beeda Ravichandra said the venue was selected to host a large number of participants and arrangements were being made for parking, traffic management, accommodation and food.
Leaders said the event would be organised on a large scale with participation from party cadres across the district.
