Anantapur: Tadipathri Municipality received the gold medal at the State Energy Conservation Awards for saving electricity through planned usage. The award was presented during a ceremony at Taj Vivanta Hotel in Vijayawada, where Tadipathri Municipal commissioner S. Shivarama Krishna received the gold medal from energy special chief secretary K. Vijayanand, APGENCO managing director K. Chakradhar Babu, APCPDCL CMD Patha Shetty, State Energy Conservation Mission CEO Kumar Reddy, and other officials.
The gold medal was awarded for energy savings in the operation and maintenance of streetlights and drinking water supply motors across the state. Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation received the silver medal, following Tadipathri Municipality. Tadipathri Municipal chairman J.C. Prabhakar Reddy and MLA J.C. Asmith Reddy praised the civic team for earning the gold medal in energy conservation, reinforcing Tadipathri’s position as a leading and model municipality in the state.
