Swarna Andhra Vision Can Drive Viksit Bharat: Dinakar

He said the focus of governance had expanded from welfare to empowerment and last-mile delivery, citing Jan Dhan, MUDRA, housing, LPG, healthcare, drinking water, farmer support and infrastructure initiatives.

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh can make a significant contribution to the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through its Swarna Andhra Pradesh @ 2047 programme and effective convergence of Central and state welfare and development schemes, said Twenty Points Programme Implementation Committee chairman Lanka Dinakar.

Addressing the media at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi, Dinakar highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year public service journey, from becoming Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, to completing 25 years in public governance on October 7, 2026. He said the focus of governance had expanded from welfare to empowerment and last-mile delivery, citing Jan Dhan, MUDRA, housing, LPG, healthcare, drinking water, farmer support and infrastructure initiatives.

Dinakar said Andhra Pradesh’s development agenda should leverage these programmes through convergence in water management, agriculture, rural development, housing, urban infrastructure, industry, employment, tourism and human-resource development.

As chairman of the Twenty Points Programme, he said his field-level reviews had reinforced the need to ensure that benefits reached every eligible beneficiary. He said Swarna Andhra Pradesh 2047, aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047, should create opportunities for youth, empower women, strengthen farmers and improve living standards across villages and cities.

He also conveyed advance birthday greetings to Prime Minister Modi.
