Super Six Delivered Good Governance, Says Anam Ramnarayana Reddy

Nellore: Endowments minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy on Thursday said the coalition government had delivered good governance through the Super Six schemes within one year of assuming office and laid the foundation for Rama Rajya in Andhra Pradesh. He said development and welfare were being pursued together and would be accelerated further.
Interacting with journalists at his camp office in Nellore, the minister extended New Year greetings to media persons and said the media played a vital role in taking government initiatives to the people.
He criticised certain leaders for spreading what he termed false propaganda against the government on social media and asserted that misinformation would not hinder the State’s development.
Highlighting welfare spending, Anam said the government spent Rs 10,090 crore under the Talliki Vandanam scheme, over Rs 1,000 crore on free bus travel for women under Stree Shakti, Rs 6,310 crore benefiting 46 lakh farmers under Annadata Sukhibhava, and Rs 2,684 crore for supplying two crore free LPG cylinders under the Deepam–2 scheme. He said Rs 33,000 crore was distributed towards NTR Bharosa pensions in the past year.
He said Anna Canteens, which were earlier closed, had been revived and had served meals to over four crore people so far, with plans to extend the scheme to rural areas. On employment, he said 15,941 jobs were filled in a single day through the Mega DSC, while 5,747 vacancies were filled in the police department.
The minister said 84 lakh tonnes of legacy waste had been removed, Rs 1,000 crore spent on road repairs and Rs 3,000 crore allocated for the construction of new roads. He said 23 new industrial policies were introduced and plans drawn up to ensure one port per district. He added that the Vizag Investors Summit attracted investments worth Rs 13.21 lakh crore, with global companies expressing interest in Andhra Pradesh.
Referring to the endowments department, Anam said several reforms were initiated, temple rituals were being conducted in accordance with Agama Shastra and renovation works were under way at 492 ancient temples at a cost of Rs 590 crore. These temples would be developed as eco-temple tourism centres, he added.
On district reorganisation, he said the exercise was carried out in line with public aspirations, retaining Kaluvai, Saidapuram and Rapur mandals, Gudur Assembly segment and Krishnapatnam Port in Nellore district. He thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for safeguarding Nellore’s interests.
The minister said revenue conferences would begin from Friday to distribute pattadar passbooks and asserted that the coalition government enjoyed a clear public mandate and that no force could impede its progress.
