Sudhakar Reddy Fought to Safeguard Democracy: CM Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu paid rich tributes to deceased CPI leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, recalling his “efforts for protection of democracy” and his significant role in the Communist leadership.

Naidu visited the CPI headquarters, Maqdoom Bhavan at Himayatnagar on Sunday to pay homage to Sudhakar Reddy’s mortal remains. He said, “I had a long-standing political association with Suravaram. We fought several battles together, keeping people’s welfare in mind.”

The CM remembered Sudhakar Reddy’s service as an MLA and MP, and said. “Sudhakar Reddy often appreciated my initiatives and encouraged me in my political journey. His service and struggles will never fade from my memory.”

"Although Sudhakar Reddy is no more, his legacy would continue to inspire all. His demise is an irreparable loss not only to the CPI but also to the Telugu people,” Naidu said, extending his condolences to the bereaved family.
