Strict Security in Place For NEET-UG Re-Test
Senior police officials inspected the centres and reviewed security arrangements

Nellore: Authorities in SPSR Nellore, Prakasam and Tirupati districts have completed elaborate arrangements for the smooth and secure conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21.
In SPSR Nellore district, Superintendent of Police Dr Ajitha Vejendla said special security, surveillance and traffic management measures had been put in place at 12 examination centres, including nine in Nellore city and three in Gudur. Candidates have been advised to reach their centres well in advance in view of forecasts of heavy rain. Senior police officials inspected the centres and reviewed security arrangements.
In Prakasam district, collector P. Rajababu and SP V. Harshavardhan Raju inspected six examination centres in Ongole, where 1,821 candidates are expected to appear. The officials also reviewed arrangements for the secure storage and transportation of question papers. Special police deployment and help desks have been set up at bus and railway stations for the convenience of candidates.
Meanwhile, Tirupati district collector Dr S. Venkateswar said all necessary arrangements had been completed for the re-examination. He stated that nine examination centres had been established in the district to accommodate candidates.
Officials across the three districts reiterated that mobile phones, smart watches and other electronic devices would not be permitted inside examination centres. Adequate arrangements for drinking water, sanitation, electricity, medical assistance and security have also been made.
