Storms, Gusty Winds Hit Nellore; Power Outages Reported

Nellore: Thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, lightning and heavy rain lashed several parts of SPSR Nellore district, including Nellore city, on Sunday evening, disrupting normal life.

The sudden weather shift followed a scorching day, with dark clouds gathering quickly before gusty winds and heavy rain swept across the region.

Several areas were plunged into darkness as trees were uprooted and electric cables snapped in a few places. As a precaution, the electricity department shut power supply in some localities to prevent further damage.

Though winds eased later, many neighbourhoods continued to face outages, while rain persisted for over an hour.
