The AP JAC Amaravati delegation, led by chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, participated in the discussions.

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh government has initiated discussions with unions to resolve service and financial issues affecting government employees.

Finance minister Payyavula Keshav and revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad held a meeting with leaders of the AP JAC Amaravati employees' association at the secretariat on Friday.

This followed the government's decision to engage with all recognised employee organisations through a series of issue-specific consultations.

The AP JAC Amaravati delegation, led by chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, participated in the discussions.

The initiative comes against the backdrop of demands from government employees over the release of pending arrears, dearness allowance instalments, implementation of Pay Revision Commission recommendations etc.

During the meeting, the ministers assured the employee representatives that the government was fully committed to resolving their problems in a positive and constructive manner. They said the government recognised the concerns of employees and was keen to find practical solutions through dialogue.

The ministers and union leaders held preliminary discussions on a range of financial and administrative issues. It was decided that another meeting would be held at the secretariat on Saturday to examine each demand in detail and work out a roadmap for their resolution.

Officials said the government intends to conduct similar meetings with other employee organisations in the coming days.
