State Govt Delivered Development, Welfare in 20 Months: CM
Naidu asserted that the government has achieved significant progress in promoting both development and welfare during its first twenty months in office.

Vijayawada:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday laid out an ambitious roadmap to transform the state into a $2.4-trillion economy by 2047 under his Swarna Andhra Vision.
Speaking on the motion of thanks to the governor’s address in the Assembly on Friday, he termed the Tirupati laddu issue highly sensitive, as attempts were made to hurt devotees’ sentiments. He also linked the adulterated ghee controversy to the “efforts” to tarnish the Heritage Foods brand that’s associated with his family.
Naidu asserted that the government has achieved significant progress in promoting both development and welfare during its first twenty months in office. The alliance of the Telugu Desam, the BJP and Jana Sena had taken up the “reconstruction of the state” as a collective mission, he said.
He stated, “Immediately after assuming office, the government released seven White Papers detailing the devastation caused by the previous government. Several conspiracies are still being hatched to obstruct development and welfare initiatives in the state.”
Highlighting poverty alleviation, the chief minister described the P4 programme as a first-of-its-kind model aimed at uplifting those at the lowest rung of society.
On the technology front, Naidu said a Quantum Computing Centre would operate in Amaravati, positioning the state at the cutting edge of emerging technologies. Over 60,000 youths have already registered for quantum skills courses, reflecting a growing interest in advanced sectors.
He said the energy sector is undergoing a major transition, with rising demand for green energy. Andhra Pradesh, along with Maharashtra, would emerge as a model in green hydrogen and green ammonia production.
In the health sector, the chief minister said the Sanjeevani project would significantly strengthen public healthcare delivery.
He announced that Bill Gates would visit Andhra Pradesh on February 16. With support from the Gates Foundation, the state plans to create digital health records to facilitate personalised medicine and improved healthcare outcomes.
Naidu also said a population management policy would be introduced during the current Assembly Session. By effectively leveraging the demographic dividend, the state could accelerate wealth creation, he observed.
Stating that Andhra Pradesh’s brand value had improved, the CM said the state attracted 25.6 per cent of the total foreign investments that landed in India in recent months.
“Major IT firms such as Google, Tata Consultancy Services and Cognizant are set to establish operations in Visakhapatnam. Industrial investments are also gathering pace, with ArcelorMittal setting up a steel plant in Anakapalli and Bharat Petroleum Corporation planning a `70,000 crore refinery near Ramayapatnam. At the recent Partnership Summit, MoUs worth `13.5 lakh crore were signed. Overall investments of `20 lakh crore in AP are expected to generate 23 lakh jobs, he said.
On irrigation, Naidu said all projects in north Andhra would be completed within three years. He reiterated that the Polavaram project would be dedicated to the nation by June 2027.
He announced that by 2026 all land records would be cleansed and state-sealed title deeds issued to ensure land security.
Referring to the sensitive Tirupati laddu issue, Naidu said the government would safeguard the sanctity of temples, including TTD.
“Our goal is a high per capita income and high quality of life — a Healthy, Wealthy and Happy AP,” the CM said, urging ministers and legislators to continuously refine policies to achieve these targets.
