New Delhi: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the Andhra Pradesh Government is moving forward with ‘Build AP’ mantra to make the State the country’s most preferred destination for investments and employment generation.
Participating in CII Partnership Summit-2026 Curtain Raiser programme along with Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, the Chief Minister briefed industrialists on investment opportunities in the State, support being extended by the Centre, projects being taken up across various sectors and the government’s future action plan. Chandrababu Naidu said MoUs worth ₹13.50 lakh crore were signed at last year’s Partnership Summit and that the State had secured investments worth ₹22 lakh crore over the past 28 months.
The Chief Minister said leading companies such as Google, with a 1 GW data centre and ArcelorMittal were setting up projects in Andhra Pradesh. As announced earlier, the industrial incentives escrow account would be launched on November 12 and 13 this year, he said.The Chief Minister said the NALA Act, which had been an impediment to investments, had been repealed. Andhra Pradesh was ready to immediately implement any policy that would contribute to the State’s growth, he said. The government was implementing the Speed of Doing Business approach to tap the vast opportunities available in agriculture, industry and services.
The Chief Minister said that interlinking the Godavari, Krishna, Pennar, Tungabhadra and Cauvery rivers would help address water scarcity not only in Andhra Pradesh but also in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.He said the government was working to transform Rayalaseema into a Global Horticulture Hub and make Andhra Pradesh a gateway to Southeast Asia.Of the State’s target of 500 GW of green energy, agreements had already been signed for generation of 110 GW, he said.
The government was also planning to establish a Green Energy Transmission Corridor. He said Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited had come forward to establish a shipbuilding centre at Dugarajapatnam, while Goa Shipyard had agreed to set up a shipbuilding facility at Machilipatnam.Drone and electronics clusters had been established at Tirupati, Lepakshi and Kopparthi, he said.
The Defence Ministry had also initiated a fifth-generation fighter jet project in Rayalaseema, he added.The Chief Minister said the State was using AI-based technologies, including systems such as Data Lake, to enable faster decision-making. AI-based technology was also being used in GST collections, resulting in a significant increase in State revenues, he said.He said curriculum was being designed from the school level to equip students to excel in AI as well as industrial and commercial sectors.
The Chief Minister said that Products made by DWCRA women’s groups would be promoted in international markets under a dedicated brand. Andhra Pradesh had a significant role in the blue economy and that quantum computing activities in Amaravati would commence from February next year. A Global Leadership Centre in Amaravati was also being developed to enhance leadership capabilities across sectors.He said the Bhogapuram International Airport had become operational and highlighted the State’s attractive coastal destinations, including Suryalanka in Bapatla.
The Chief Minister requested the Union Government to establish an international-standard convention centre for hosting CII Partnership Summits.
Chandrababu Naidu said Indians were at the forefront of adopting technology and were leading several prominent global companies.“The Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are extending strong support to Andhra Pradesh,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the Centre was providing financial assistance for Polavaram, Amaravati capital development and several other projects.He said the Centre had also approved the establishment of semiconductor units in Visakhapatnam and other parts of the State.

Speaking at the CII Partnership Summit Curtain Raiser, Goyal recalled that the coins used during the rule of the Satavahanas, who ruled from Amaravati, carried a ship symbol, reflecting the region’s maritime trade links with the world even in ancient times.He said the ship symbol represented Indian commerce, confidence and ideas. Even today, Andhra Pradesh remained a destination associated with entrepreneurs and industrialists, he said.Goyal praised Chandrababu Naidu as a visionary leader who had embraced technology as early as 1998 and created extensive opportunities in the State.He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Government were extending full support for the development of Andhra Pradesh as a Sunrise State.The Union Minister highlighted the upcoming Google data centre in Visakhapatnam and the Quantum Computing Valley in Amaravati.He said the Centre and the States were working together as Team India for the country’s development and that Andhra Pradesh was attracting major investments by making use of opportunities created by the Centre.Goyal said the NDA Government was moving forward with the principles of Atmanirbharta, Atmavishwas and Atmaraksha.
