Srisailam Gears Up for Shravana Masotsavam Festivities
Special focus has been placed on providing ample accommodation, uninterrupted water supply, enhanced sanitation, systematic vehicle parking, and efficient crowd management throughout the festival period.

Kurnool: The Shravana Masotsavam at the Srisailam temple is set to commence from Friday, with a significant influx of devotees expected. In preparation, temple authorities have made extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth darshan experience and devotee comfort.
Special focus has been placed on providing ample accommodation, uninterrupted water supply, enhanced sanitation, systematic vehicle parking, and efficient crowd management throughout the festival period.
On regular days, devotees will be able to participate in all Arjitha Sevas of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba Ammavaru without disruption. Rituals such as Arjitha Abhishekams, Samuhika Abhishekams, and Kumkumarchanam will proceed as scheduled.
However, anticipating heavy crowds on key dates Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays during Shravana, Varalakshmi Vratam, and Shravana Pournami (a total of 16 days), temple authorities have decided to suspend Garbhalaya Abhishekam and Samuhika Abhishekam for better crowd control.
On these high-traffic days, Sparsha Darshanam will be offered at designated times and must be booked in advance via the temple’s official website. Notably, from August 15 to 18, Sparsha Darshanam will be unavailable, with only Alankara Darshanam permitted during that period.
The temple opens daily at 3 a.m. with Mangalavadyam, Suprabhata Seva, and Pratahkala Pujas. Mahamangala Harati is performed at 4.30 am, after which darshanam continues until 4 pm. Following temple cleaning and evening rituals like Pradoshakala Pujas and Susandhyam, Mahamangala Harati resumes at 5.30 pm, and darshanam continues until 11 pm.
For devotees' convenience, two free Samuhika Varalakshmi Vratams will be organised during the festival, each accommodating 1,600 devotees. An additional 750 devotees will be allowed special participation in the second Vratam. Those unable to attend in person may take part through Paroksha Seva for a nominal fee.
All Seva tickets, including those for Sparsha Darshanam, must be booked online to ensure transparency and convenience. On days when Abhishekams are suspended (except August 15 to 18), Sparsha Darshanam will be held four times daily. On other festival days with lighter footfall, all regular rituals and Sevas will proceed without interruption.
