Srisailam Authorities Say no to Social Media Posts Around Temple

ANANTAPUR: Srisailam Temple authorities have issued orders that no videos must be shot or posted on social media without obtaining prior permission. “Stringent action will be initiated against those who violate these directions,” temple authorities made it clear on Friday.

The order came after a You Tuber shot footage close to Lord Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple and posted it on social media with pop songs. The video has been going viral on social media for the past couple of days.

Following serious objections raised by devotees against the post, the You Tuber sought an apology for her post.

However, following continued criticism that such posts have appeared due to negligence of temple management, authorities have warned against anything being shot in and around the temple premises without taking permission from the management.
