Srinivas Urges Malaysian Telugu Diaspora to Invest in AP

Vijayawada: Minister alleviation and non-resident telugu empowerment relations Kondapalli Srinivas urged the Telugu diaspora in Malaysia to invest in Andhra Pradesh and join the State’s development plans under Swarna Andhra-2047.
Addressing the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Telugu Association of Malaysia (TAM) at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre on Saturday, Srinivas said TAM had grown from a small organisation started in 1955 into a support system for nearly five lakh Telugu people in Malaysia.
He said the AP government, under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, was creating opportunities in investment, industries, technology, employment, skill development and the rural economy as part of its Swarna Andhra-2047 vision.

He urged Telugu entrepreneurs in Malaysia to bring their expertise, experience and technology to Andhra Pradesh and invest in the State. The government was targeting `30 lakh crore in investments and 20 lakh jobs and had introduced six new industrial policies, he said.
Ratan Tata Innovation Centres would be established in Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Anantapur to promote MSMEs and startups, Srinivas said.
He highlighted opportunities in food processing, manufacturing, tourism and digital services and called upon Malaysian Telugu entrepreneurs to contribute to the State’s development.
