Srikrishna Janmashtami Celebrated Across Godavari Districts
Srikrishna Janmashtami was celebrated across Godavari districts with special pujas, cultural programmes, temple decorations and Utti Mahotsavam.
Srikrishna Janmashtami has been celebrated across Kakinada, Konaseema, Eluru, East Godavari and West Godavari districts on Friday, with temples witnessing a steady flow of devotees right from the early hours of the day.
Temples organised special pujas, abhishekams, bhajans, and cultural programmes to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. Priests decorated their temples with flowers, colourful lights, and rangoli, while displaying idols of Lord Krishna adorned with special ornaments and colourful vastrams.
Celebrations reached a peak with the traditional Utti Mahotsavam organised at several temples and villages. The events drew large crowds, particularly children and youths, who participated in the celebrations.
Thousands of devotees visited the Gokulam Temple in Kakinada, and offered prayers. Children dressed as Lord Krishna participated in the celebrations, while organisers presented gifts to them.
