Srikakulam: Student Dies by Suicide at KGBV Residential Hostel

Kothur: A first-year Intermediate student died by suicide on Friday at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Type-IV Residential Hostel located on the premises of Kothur High School in Srikakulam district.
According to reports, the deceased was identified as Savara Poojitha, a first-year Intermediate student at Government Junior College, Kothur. The student was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a hostel room. Fellow students who noticed the incident immediately alerted the hostel staff. The student was a resident of Lakkayaguda village in Seethampeta mandal.
Kothur Sub-Inspector K. Venkatesh reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the student's death.
