Sribharat said party cadre had witnessed the hardships faced by people during the previous YSRC government and must now work with greater sincerity in public service

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat has urged party leaders and workers to uphold the trust reposed by the people in the coalition government.

He made the appeal during an interactive meeting with ward presidents, secretaries, cluster in-charges and parliamentary committee members of the North Assembly constituency at the TDP parliamentary constituency office.

A grievance redressal programme was also conducted, during which ward-wise issues and local conditions were reviewed.

Sribharat said party cadre had witnessed the hardships faced by people during the previous YSRC government and must now work with greater sincerity in public service.

He stressed the importance of collecting grievances with supporting evidence and resolving them within a fixed timeframe.

Party leaders raised concerns over ward reorganisation, the Urban Land Ceiling issue, dust pollution from the port and heavy vehicle movement on city roads.

The MP assured them of full support in coordinating with officials to resolve the issues.

Students urged to make the most of opportunities

VIJAYAWADA: Union minister of state for rural development and communications Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar interacted with students of SKBM Government School from Guntur during their educational tour to New Delhi on Thursday and encouraged them to make the best use of opportunities to achieve success in life.

The interaction was held at India Post Dak Bhavan in New Delhi, where the minister spent time with the students and spoke to them about education, discipline and leadership.

Dr Pemmasani appreciated the initiative taken by Guntur West MLA Galla Madhavi in organising the Delhi tour for meritorious students from government schools. He said such programmes help improve students’ confidence and encourage them to dream big by exposing them to the nation’s capital and important institutions.

He also referred to the educational reforms being introduced by education minister Nara Lokesh and said strengthening government schools and creating better opportunities for students would help build a strong foundation for their future.

Addressing the students, Dr Pemmasani said success does not depend on family or financial background, but on determination, discipline and hard work. He urged them to draw inspiration from the lives of prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sundar Pichai, who overcame challenges to achieve global recognition.

The minister advised students to grow into individuals who help others beyond caste and religious differences and develop an attitude of equality and service towards society.

During the tour, accommodation arrangements were made for the students at the India Post Guest House. The students also met Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan and participated in an interaction session with IAS officers to learn about governance, public responsibilities and the role of youth in nation-building.

Dr Pemmasani said direct exposure to the country’s top administrative systems would motivate students to set ambitious goals and build self-confidence for the future.

Teachers, officials and representatives also participated in the programme.
